24 January 2012 No Comment

Dana Point, CA –An intruder was shot and killed by the resident whose home he was breaking into on Monday night.  A resident was asleep in his home in the 34000 block of Capistrano by the Sea in Dana Point when he was awakened by noises.  He did not see anyone at first, but a short time later he heard more noise.  He grabbed a handgun and got out of bed to check his home.  When he opened his bedroom door, he saw someone in the house.  He shot his gun more than once and hit the intruder.  The intruder left through an open window and was found dead in the back yard.  Investigators believe the intruder entered through the open window.  The shooting is under investigation, but no one has been taken into custody.  The identities of the people involved have not been released.  For help with a criminal case in the state of California, find an attorney at CALIFORNIALAWYERS360.COM.
