A New York police officer’s lawsuit against the city was dismissed Monday.
The officer, William Rozakis, was suing the city for damages due to an accident in 2004 that occurred while he was on horseback. The officer alleged that due to faulty pavement the horse stumbled and fell towards a car, causing him to be squished between the heavy animal and the vehicle.
After seeing a map of the concrete where the supposed accident took place, the judge ruled that the policeman’s description did not match closely enough. The city was not held responsible for the uneven road.
