Construction Accident Causes Man’s Death

22 June 2011 No Comment

A 50-year-old man was killed Tuesday when he fell while he was working.

Alan Fernandes was working at a construction site located at a facility owned by his brother when he suddenly plunged through a skylight and hit the ground below.

Medical crews rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was unable to survive his injuries.

The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) was notified of the accident by the police. They are conducting a full investigation into the matter and will determine if the procedures that were carried out were safe and legitimate.

Building operators are highly liable in work-associated accidents. Make sure you are doing all you can to prevent injuries and provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees. Taking the extra time to delegate procedures will be beneficial in the end.

If you could be liable for an accident that occurred under your supervision, find a lawyer who can help defend you. Employment lawyers are available for you on http://www.ilawyersource.com/PracticeArea/Employment-and-Labor-Law.
