Families receive $31M from Clark County airspace lawsuits

In northern Wisconsin’s Vilas County, three people were killed Saturday in a snowmobile crash.
 Officials stated Jennifer Kender and Nathan Kender, both 26 from Racine, Wis., and Scott Sumoski, 39, of South Elgin, Ill., were among the victims Saturday.Â

Man in Santa costume kills 3, wounds 3 more

Three people were fatally shot, and three additional victims were wounded, when a man dressed in a Santa Claus costume opened fire at a Christmas Eve party, then set the house on fire before fleeing the scene.

Wednesday, President Bush rescinded one of the 19 presidential pardons he had granted just before the Christmas holiday.

Judge reduces attorney fees in GM settlement with share holders

A Detroit, MI federal judge cut legal fees on Monday in a $303 million settlement between General Motors Corp. and investors, claiming that a 19 percent share sought by attorneys was over the top and wouldn’t bode well with the middle class.

Street race ends in death in Mission Viejo

An 18-year-old man was fatally injured Friday after his car flipped numerous times, then collided with a light pole and a tree during a street race with another car, police said.
Jose Merino Pacheco of Mission Viejo was pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m. on Friday night at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, according to the Coroner.
